Meet our dedicated Board of Directors 

President: Dr. Valerie Grapensteter DNP, RN 

Valerie is the Director of System Clinical Practice at Rochester Regional Health. She is a Doctorally prepared Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Adult - Geriatric population. She is a motivated leader in healthcare with clinical experience in medical surgical and critical care and leadership experience in system integration and standardization. Valerie has been part of the Rochester Ataxia Foundation since the inception, leading our auction and raffles for our 2 largest events. She officially became part of the RAF board in 2018 and is the current President of RAF. Valerie looks forward  to continuing the mission of the Rochester Ataxia Foundation in creating awareness and continuing the fight to find a cause and a cure. 

 Vice President: Diane Minunni Callan

Diane is the SVP, Head of Compliance – Enterprise Corporate Office, Regulatory Change and Academy for TD Bank Group. In this role, she is responsible for leading the bank in the ongoing development and enhancement of the corporate office functions' compliance programs. Diane is also responsible for Compliance's regulatory change management process covering all business segments globally. In addition, Diane is responsible for Compliance Academy, a dedicated in-house training program for Compliance team members focused on the knowledge and skills that promote core competencies and excellence in Compliance. Diane is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. Diane lives in Spencerport, NY and has three children.

Treasurer: Pamela Tellier

Pamela is an experienced educator with the Rochester City School District. She has worked at Nathaniel Rochester Community School (School #3) for the past fifteen years. At School #3, she has worked as a teacher in both 1st and 2nd Grades as well as an intervention teacher for students in Grades K-6. Her current role as an instructional coach allows her to work with fellow educators in Grades K-8 to facilitate conversations around data driven instructional decisions, unpack required curriculum, model, co-teach, or observe in classrooms and coordinate and plan effective school-level professional development. Pam is a lifelong resident of Rochester, NY. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School before studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Dayton in Ohio. She went on to receive a Masters in Education from St. John Fisher College and most recently her Administrative Certification from the University of Rochester. She and her husband Adam, along with their four children live in West Irondequoit. They enjoy spending time together with family and friends as well as watching and participating in lacrosse, ice skating, basketball and baseball games. Pam has attended the RAF March Madness event and played in the RAF golf tournament for a number of years. She became a member of the RAF board in August 2017 as the treasurer. She is committed to support RAF’s efforts in raising awareness and supporting research towards a cause and a cure for Ataxia.

Legal Counsel: Michael Geraci, Esq.

Michael joined the Board in 2014. He became president in 2017 and recently stepped down from that position. Michael is a lawyer at Geraci Law Offices in Rochester with a focus on labor and employment law in addition to criminal defense.
Michael recently ran for a seat on the Rochester City Council— East District.  Please join us in thanking Michael for all of his work as president and we are happy to announce that he will remain on the Board.

Secretary: Alison Diehl

Alison is the Research and Grants Administrator at the University of Rochester’s Complex Care Center. Her responsibilities include applying for grants, monitoring the Center’s existing grants, and providing oversight for research activities at the Complex Care Center. Prior to her work at the Complex Care Center, Alison worked as a Research Coordinator in the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics managing and coordinating grants related to Autism Spectrum Disorders. Alison has been employed by the University of Rochester for 13 years and has been working with children and adults with special needs for almost 20 years.
Alison has a Master of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Medical Management from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology which she obtained from the College at Brockport.
Alison is married with two grown sons.

Board Member: Mike Cullen

Board Member: Amber Goodman

Amber Goodman is the Director of Human Re-sources for The Pike Company in Rochester, NY. Prior to joining Pike in 2018, she was the HR Director for Walmart Logistics. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and attended Penn State. Amber, her husband and 2 children moved to Rochester in 2016. She has a passion for helping others and making a difference within her community. Amber joined the board in January 2019 and is committed to the mission of the RAF in raising awareness and sup-porting the research to find a cause and cure for genetic Ataxia.

Board Member: Benjamin Muscolino

Benjamin Muscolino has been on the Board of Directors at the Rochester Ataxia Foundation since 2015.  Originally from the Rochester area, specifically Spencerport, NY, Ben is the President and CEO of a portfolio of technology companies based out of the DC area including a holding company AssociationWire LLC which contains product and services companies AMS Geek and AMS Jobs which serve the technology consulting and staffing needs of associations and nonprofits across the country.  He also serves as President and CEO of Breezio, and online collaboration platform focused on making it easier for association to empower their members to engage online through the use of the white-label community software.  Based in Reston, VA, Ben is an active member, speaker and thought leader with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the Society for Information Management (SIM) and the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN) to name a few.  Ben is passionate about the mission of the Rochester Ataxia Foundation because of his experience growing up closely with his best friend Jim and seeing first hand the challenges his amazing mother has always had to overcome as a person living with Ataxia. <3
